The Kettle Valley Railway
Explore the Historic KVR Railways and Trestles
A distinct chapter in Western Canadian history lies just a few minutes from The Village. The railbed of the Kettle Valley Railway still winds through the incredible Okanagan Highlands. Called "the most difficult railway in the world to build" the Kettle Valley spanned deep mountain gorges and tunnelled through solid rock. The Myra Canyon stretch, with all it's trestles and tunnels now turned into a linear park, offers exhilarating scenery and trip back to the bygone age of steel rails.
